Joining the Imam in Ruku

Question:

If I join the Imam while is he already in ruku (bowing) which means that I missed the Fatihah (The Opening). Would this part of the prayer count as one rak`ah or I have to make it up?

Answer:

In the name of Allah, we praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.

Abu Hurairah narrated that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “If anyone is in time for a rak`ah in the prayer along with the imam he has said the whole prayer.” (Agreed Upon)
