The Prophet (peace be upon him) said about Prayer and its importance: “The first thing which will be judged among a person’s deeds on the Day of Resurrection is the prayer. If that is in good order, he will pass the test and prosper, and if that is defective, he will fail the test and be a loser.” (At-Tirmidhi)
In this short reminder, Sheikh Abdul Nasir Jangda talks about the first deed that a slave will be asked for before Allah on the Day of Judgment, that is prayer. He narrated the accident of the great companion `Umar (The Successor of Messenger of Allah -may Allah be pleased with him-) at the last moments of his life when he was stabbed during the prayer.
It was said to him, “The prayer, Leader of the Believers! He said, “Yes, truly! If anyone misses the prayer, he has no share in Islam,” and thereupon he prayed while his wounds were bleeding.”
Even in that condition of fading in and out of consciousness, when he heard the call to prayer, `Umar said that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), “There is no Deen (religion) for the one who does not pray.”
Enjoy watching this talk with Sheikh Abdul Nasir Jangda to learn more about the importance of Prayer in Islam and the weightiness of Islam without praying .
