The Friday Prayer (Jumu`ah) is an obligation for men and recommended for women to be performed at a mosque. Allah the Exalted says in the Qur’an:

O you who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday hasten earnestly to the remembrance of Allah, and leave off business. That is best for you if you but knew. (Al-Jumu`ah 62:9)
